About the roleAre you passionate about supporting older people to live independently in their own homes? We’re looking for compassionate and reliable Home Care Workers to join our dedicated team at LHG, supporting clients across Adelaide. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives by providing personal, physical, and emotional support to older individuals in their homes. You’ll be part of a supportive and collaborative team, working closely with your Home Care colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care. You’ll benefit from a dynamic work environment, travelling between clients and meeting new people daily, which adds variety and a meaningful purpose to your role. Therefore, the successful candidate must hold a valid South Australian driver’s licence and have access to a motor vehicle. As a Home Care Worker, you’ll be responsible for assisting clients with daily living tasks and supporting them to maintain their independence and dignity. Key Duties include:- Provide all aspects of care in line with each consumer’s care plan, ensuring services are delivered with the highest quality and respect
- Support clients with daily activities, including personal care (e.g. showering), medication management, transport to appointments, social and emotional support, shopping, meal preparation, laundry, and light domestic tasks
- Monitor client wellbeing and promptly report any incidents or changes in care need
About you- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing): essential
- SA Driver’s Licence: essential
- Motor Vehicle: essential
- Previous Community Care experience: highly regarded
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Well-developed communication (face-to-face and written) skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people
- Self-directed and ability to work autonomously.
