About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Spiritual Care Practitioner (Chaplain) to provide holistic, person centred support to residents and their families. Working closely with clinical, lifestyle and pastoral teams, you will play a vital role in supporting the spiritual, emotional and ethical wellbeing of individuals in our care. • Conduct spiritual assessments and contribute to personalised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
  • Facilitate meaningful spiritual practices, rituals, and connections with faith and community networks
  • Respond to crisis situations including illness, end of life care, and bereavement with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Deliver education and guidance to staff on spiritual care and cultural awareness in a care setting
  • Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, supporting quality care and accreditation requirements

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in spiritual or pastoral care (essential), ideally within aged care or healthcare settings
  • Relevant qualifications or certification in pastoral care, chaplaincy, counselling, or Clinical Pastoral Education (desirable)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage people from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds
  • Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach aligned with person-centred care principles
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Sound organisational skills and basic to moderate computer proficiency

Additional Requirements

• Current NDIS Worker Clearance
• Current Australian Driver’s Licence (P2 or above) and willingness to travel between sites
• Commitment to aged care quality standards, safety, and organisational values
