About the Role Due to continued growth, we have an exciting opportunity for a Rostering Officer to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the continuity of care for our Home and Community Support consumers. You’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining rosters for programs such as the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP), Support at Home Packages, LHG Assist, and Transitional Care. Acting as the key point of contact for rostering enquiries, you will ensure services are delivered in line with individual care plans and a person-centred approach, while complying with industrial relations legislation including the SCHADS Award.
Your day-to-day will include: - Coordinate and maintain efficient and effective rosters for Home and Community Support services.
- Serve as the primary contact for rostering enquiries, ensuring compliance with SCHADS Award and LHG Enterprise Agreements.
- Update rosters daily to reflect changes in staff availability, consumer preferences, and leave requests.
- Publish rosters in advance and ensure alignment with approved hours and budgets.
- Monitor workforce ratios and minimise overtime and agency usage to control costs.
- Maintain accurate data for payroll and rostering systems, assisting with payroll processing and enquiries.
- Support continuous improvement by reviewing processes and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
- Provide exceptional customer service to staff, consumers, and families, ensuring cultural sensitivity and clear communication.
- Contribute to a collaborative team environment and assist with general administrative tasks.
About You You are an organised and proactive professional with a strong customer service focus and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. You bring:
- Experience in rostering, administration, and data entry using rostering systems and consumer databases.
- Knowledge of SCHADS Award and an understanding of aged care standards and reforms.
- Skills in time management, problem-solving, and attention to detail, with proficiency in MS Office.
- A collaborative approach and the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Previous experience in Home and Community Support services and/or payroll functions is highly desirable.
- Certificate level qualification in Community Care, Disability or Business Administration is desirable.
