Committed to quality care, innovation, and staff development, we are proud of our rich history and values, and we continually strive to grow while making a positive impact in the lives of those we support About the Role This role based in the suburb of Glynde is responsible for providing a professional cooking service that meets consumer expectations while ensuring full compliance with the Work Health & Safety Act 2012 (SA), Aged Care Quality Standards, and Food Safety legislation. You will actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, maintain safe and hygienic kitchen practices, and manage resources responsibly with a strong focus on sustainability and environmental awareness. What will you do?- Deliver high-quality, nutritious meals in accordance with food safety legislation, aged care standards, and organisational policies.
- Prepare and coordinate texture-modified meals and special diets to meet individual consumer dietary requirements and preferences.
- Support an exceptional dining experience by promoting consumer choice, dignity, and satisfaction in menu planning and service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with Food Safety Plans, including accurate documentation, hygiene standards, and audit requirements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, effective stock control, and responsible resource management within the kitchen.
More About you- Holds a recognised Chef qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Chef role, ideally within aged care or high-volume food service environments.
- Strong organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build professional relationships and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
- Knowledgeable in food quality and control systems, aged care standards, and safe food handling practices, with attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement.
