About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Spiritual Care Practitioner (Chaplain) to provide holistic, person centred support to residents and their families. Working closely with clinical, lifestyle and pastoral teams, you will play a vital role in supporting the spiritual, emotional and ethical wellbeing of individuals in our care. This role is suited to someone who values inclusivity, cultural diversity, and creating a peaceful, respectful environment for people of all faiths and beliefs. Key Responsibilities - Provide pastoral care to residents and families, offering compassionate and inclusive support regardless of faith background
- Conduct spiritual assessments and contribute to personalised care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Facilitate meaningful spiritual practices, rituals, and connections with faith and community networks
- Respond to crisis situations including illness, end of life care, and bereavement with sensitivity and professionalism
- Deliver education and guidance to staff on spiritual care and cultural awareness in a care setting
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation, supporting quality care and accreditation requirements
About You - Demonstrated experience in spiritual or pastoral care (essential), ideally within aged care or healthcare settings
- Relevant qualifications or certification in pastoral care, chaplaincy, counselling, or Clinical Pastoral Education (desirable)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage people from diverse cultural and faith backgrounds
- Compassionate, empathetic, and respectful approach aligned with person-centred care principles
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
- Sound organisational skills and basic to moderate computer proficiency
Additional Requirements • Current NDIS Worker Clearance • Current Australian Driver’s Licence (P2 or above) and willingness to travel between sites • Commitment to aged care quality standards, safety, and organisational values Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment.
