About the RoleAs part of our dynamic Allied Health team, you will help shape the direction of Allied Health services within our organisation. Collaborate closely with our supportive team, including the Allied Health Team Leader, other Allied Health Professionals, Home Care Manager and Coordinators, and Clinical team members in both Residential, Community and Rehabilitation. You will work alongside other health team members to understand client care needs, plan interventions, and review outcomes, supporting residents and clients to achieve their goals. Key responsibilities include: - Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments on admission and as required to create tailored therapy plans
- Perform Home Safety assessments and recommend home modifications to support independent living
- Prescribe assistive technology and equipment to enable clients to live comfortably and confidently at home
- Collaborate with clients, families, stakeholders, and Allied Health Professionals to address therapy needs
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to help clients maintain or improve their daily living abilities
- Work alongside the Allied Health Team to support wellness and reablement program in community care environments
About You- Relevant qualification in an Allied Health profession (Occupational Therapy) with demonstrated experience in area of expertise
- Current AHPRA registration
- Ability to provide education, support and coaching to direct care employees, clients and their families
- Well-developed communication (written and face-to-face) and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers families and direct care employees
- Knowledge of the aged care quality standards (desirable)
- Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment
- Current NDIS worker clearance
- Candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
