About the Role:Provide assistance in organising and executing therapy programs for allied health, both community exercise group and individual activities, following AHA guidelines and supervision from a physiotherapist or occupational therapist. Work in partnership with clients, their families, and a diverse healthcare team to meet each individual's specific needs and improve their overall quality of life. Perform administrative tasks accurately and efficiently, including maintaining consumer records, monitoring health and mobility progress, overseeing programs and activities, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Collaborate closely with the Allied Health Team, under the guidance of LHG Allied Health Professionals, Physiotherapist, and Occupational Therapist. Work closely with the Allied Health Team leader and Manager and other Clinical team members in Transitional Care and Community programs. Prioritise the well-being and safety of others by being aware of one's actions and their potential consequences. About You:Proficient in aiding in the coordination and execution of quality, individual-focused allied health therapy programs in client’s home as well as assisting with group therapy program in the community; tailored to the specific needs, objectives, and preferences of clients while upholding their dignity. Skilled in effectively communicating with elderly individuals and their families in a professional, respectful, compassionate, comprehensible manner that empowers clients to make choices. Capable of making accurate and timely observations, maintaining records, and contributing to basic reports. Familiarity with rehabilitation, wellness, and physical therapy to enhance functionality and self-reliance. Must possess a Manual Handling and First Aid Certificate, along with a valid Australian Driver’s license. Certification in Leisure and Lifestyle or as an Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy/ Physiotherapy) preferred. Current students pursuing a degree in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy (Bachelor's or master’s level) are welcome to apply.
