Village Manager - Retirement Living (Two Positions Available)

About Us

Lutheran Homes Group (LHG) is a leading not-for-profit provider of home and community support, residential care and retirement living services for senior Australians. With over 1,300 dedicated employees and volunteers, we deliver personalised care across South Australia and regional Victoria, empowering older Australians to live with dignity and choice. Committed to quality care, innovation, and staff development, we are proud of our rich history and values, and we continually strive to grow while making a positive impact in the lives of those we support.

About the Role
We are recruiting two Village Manager positions, each responsible for the day‑to‑day operations and strategic leadership of a defined cluster of retirement villages:

  • Village Manager – Glynde & Fullarton (based at Glynde)
  • Village Manager – Hope Valley & Para Vista (based at Hope Valley)

As a Village Manager, you will lead the daily operations and long‑term strategic direction of your allocated villages. You’ll foster a warm, safe, and high‑quality living environment for residents, provide supportive leadership to a small onsite team, ensure compliance standards are met, and act as the primary escalation point for all village matters.

A core part of your role will be resident engagement and sales - conducting tours, nurturing enquiries, managing the sales pipeline, and guiding prospective residents from first contact through to move‑in. You’ll foster strong relationships, drive awareness of our retirement living offering, and contribute to a positive, community‑focused culture.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Lead, support and coach Village Liaison team members.
  • Conduct village tours and manage the full sales process from enquiry to key handover.
  • Maintain CRM records, nurture leads and complete competitor analysis.
  • Oversee day‑to‑day operations, resident feedback, incident reviews, and administrative tasks.
  • Attend Residents’ Committee Meetings and ensure compliance with policies and legislation.
  • Act as the main escalation point for village matters and ensure consistent communication across teams and residents.

About You
You’re a confident communicator with strong relationship‑building and sales capability. You bring empathy, professionalism, and a solutions‑focused approach to supporting residents and teams. You balance operational detail with strategic thinking and thrive in a role where community impact and performance go hand‑in‑hand. You bring:

  • Certificate III, IV or Diploma in administration, business or similar.
  • Proven management experience ideally in retirement living, aged care, or community services.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in sales, pipeline management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Highly organised with strong follow‑through and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across multiple sites.
  • Proficient with Asana, CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

If you're a motivated leader who loves building relationships, delivering exceptional resident experiences and creating vibrant communities, we’d love to hear from you!

Why Lutheran Homes Group?
