About the Role:As an Occupational Therapist with Lutheran Homes Group, you’ll play a key role in delivering comprehensive assessments and developing personalised rehabilitation and reablement programs to support our clients’ independence and quality of life. You will work within the residential care facility, collaborating closely with families, healthcare professionals, and the Allied Health team to make a meaningful impact on the aging journey of our clients. As part of the LHG multidisciplinary health team, you’ll also participate in health promotion activities across all LHG services. What You’ll Do:- Conduct thorough Occupational Therapy assessments on admission and as required to create tailored therapy plans
- Recommend and prescribe appropriate assistive technology and equipment to enhance residents’ comfort, safety, and confidence within the residential care environment
- Collaborate with clients, families, stakeholders, and Allied Health Professionals to address therapy needs
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to help clients maintain or improve their daily living abilities
- Work alongside the Allied Health Team to support wellness and reablement program in community care environments
What You’ll Bring:- Demonstrated experience applying effective treatment and evaluation techniques in an Occupational Therapy setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with a client-centered approach to care
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing priorities
- A passion for supporting older adults to achieve their highest level of independence
Special Requirements:- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy with current AHPRA registration – essential
- Experience in residential care environment settings for older adults – highly regarded
- Current driver's licence
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance – required (NDIS risk-assessed role)
- Willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical assessment
- In line with aged care health guidelines, all recommended vaccinations are encouraged
