About the Role

As part of our dynamic Allied Health team, you will help shape the direction of Allied Health services within our organisation. Collaborate closely with our supportive team, including the Allied Health Team Leader, other Allied Health Professionals, Home Care Manager and Coordinators, and Clinical team members in both Residential, Community and Rehabilitation. You will work alongside other health team members to understand client care needs, plan interventions, and review outcomes, supporting residents and clients to achieve their goals. Embrace a growth mindset and contribute to continuous improvement activities across the organisation.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conduct physiotherapy assessment and develop individualised goal-based treatment plans
  • Support clients in achieving their goals towards independence and safe living at home
  • Provide clinical support to the Community Transitional Care and Community program teams and function as an escalation point
  • Provide oversight of external provider’s clinical assessments and equipment prescription
  • Contribute and deliver Falls Prevention and relevant Health Promotional Activities to promote Healthy and Positive Aging

About You

  • Relevant qualification in an Allied Health profession (Physiotherapy) with demonstrated experience in area of expertise
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Ability to provide education, support and coaching to direct care employees, clients and their families
  • Well-developed communication (written and face-to-face) and interpersonal skills to liaise with clients, carers families and direct care employees
  • Knowledge of the aged care quality standards (desirable)
  • Candidates may be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment
  • Current NDIS worker clearance
  • Candidates are encouraged to have all recommended vaccinations.
