You will provide guidance to catering staff, ensuring meals meet individual dietary requirements, care plans, and personal preferences. This role is ideal for a passionate culinary professional who enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of older people through exceptional food and service. Key Responsibilities - Deliver high-quality, nutritious meals and provide professional cooking services that meet resident needs and preferences.
- Support, guide and mentor catering staff to ensure excellent food service and kitchen operations.
- Assist in the development of appealing menus and recipes, working closely with residents and the catering team.
- Identify and implement continuous improvements to enhance the dining experience and service quality.
- Act as Head Chef in their absence, supporting kitchen leadership, rostering, staff development and day-to-day operations.
What You Will Need - Minimum Certificate III in Commercial Cookery.
- Qualified Chef with at least 2 years' relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to support, mentor and guide kitchen staff.
- Experience in aged care catering is highly regarded.
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards and customer-focused service.
